Ons land behoort hiermee samen met Ierland (10) en Frankrijk (12) tot de tweede groep (Visionary Challengers) en laat Canada (1), Singapore (2) en de Verenigde Staten (3) als Innovative Leaders ruim voorgaan. De Nederlandse overheid scoort boven het wereldgemiddelde wat betreft het aanbieden van informatie via het net, maar blijft ver achter op gebied van interactie met burgers en bedrijven via het web.
National governments throughout the world significantly improved their online service delivery, increasing the range and sophistication of eGovernment services for citizens and businesses alike, according to Accenture’s third annual global eGovernment study. As governments progress along the eGovernment path, they also are demonstrating greater understanding of technology’s potential to help fully transform the way they operate – both in terms of service delivery and administrative effectiveness, the report notes. Leading the way in eGovernment innovation is Canada, followed by Singapore, the United States, Australia, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Finland, Hong Kong, Germany and Ireland.
